So, Meek Mill & Nicki Minaj Were A Little Upset With Joe Budden Last Night…

Joe Budden x Nicki Minaj x Meek Mill beef_LifeIsTremendez

If you frequent this site, then you’re well aware of I’ll Name This Podcast Later, the podcast I’ve been doing weekly with Joe Budden for MONTHS now. Every single week, we discuss current events, we make jokes on each other and other people, we share opinions…we have a show. That’s how shows work. It’s not a podcast about Joe being a rapper, because maybe then opinions wouldn’t be warranted. But it’s 3 friends – one of which happens to have a larger following because of his OTHER work – who come together on a weekly basis for a light-hearted podcast of nonsense.

That being said, it honestly surprised me when Joe‘s comments about Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj‘s relationship on last week’s episode (number 20) made headlines. While we discussed the happenings at the 2015 BET Awards, Joe made a joke about how he was saving pictures he saw of Meek looking at Nicki the entire show. He then said the following:

“Part of my problem with that is that Meek’s music is too hard. Meek’s music is too hard for me to look at him with this f*cking sappy f*ck sh*t. Be the hardcore guy that I’m sure she was attracted to at some point. It’s nasty. I hate everything about it. I’m glad a dark-skinned guy is behaving this way. Light-skinned n*ggas, we’re not moving like that. Light-skinned guys, we’re used to getting the bad b*tch. He’s like this bitch just stepped off a f*cking Mars and is the only girl. Oh my God, I just hate it all. But I do appreciate them both keeping the hope of love alive.”

The comments I’ve seen regarding this are insane, but it all starts with the trash bloggers who posted headlines with QUOTATION MARKS while they summarized what Joe said…aka, they were not actual quotes. Then the lazy readers without even listening or knowing the context it was said in decided to jump off a bridge. The most amusing ones I’ve seen is, “Joe is irrelevant. He hasn’t had a hit since ‘Pump It Up.’ Who is he to comment on someone else?” Well, who are you to comment on someone else, commenter? Hmm! I also want to know how what Joey does musically has any baring on him speaking about pop culture and relationships?

Then the people saying he did this for ratings KILL me, as if we haven’t talked the same sh*t for all 19 other episodes…and as if Joe hasn’t been that same guy on social media since WAY before I’ll Name This Podcast Later!

Nevertheless, Meek and Nicki caught wind of it and decided to respond last night. The full exchange is in the gallery. Thank you ALL for the free promo! It is appreciated! Subscribe on iTunes here!
