Joyce [and our new team member Angela!] came over for a meeting about the fate of Marisa Explains It All last nite and it ended up becoming an episode. Don’t call it a comeback because I can’t promise it will be consistent but here’s what’s been up for the last year and if you’re on your therapy/growth/mental health journey this is for you!
[P.S. I think we’re going to have to make a new iTunes so right now it’s just on SoundCloud and Spotify!]
We’re sans Mal this week unfortunately, but Joyce and I made it work!
We start the episode breaking down the birthday festivities of course, while simultaneously talking about how PMSing literally ruins your life every month for a few days. (Fellas, if you’re listening PLEASE take notes and take care of your queen.) We then pivot to Tory Lanez‘s rise and fall which has been quite a ride. Get well soon, Meg!
It may be some time before a new episode so don’t be alarmed! We’re going to take some time off for work projects but we’ll be back! Love y’all, MEIA Mob!

I finally have a fun story to tell – although it was a failed attempt, it was still a story. LOL! Tune in my babies, tune in.

Joyce starts off the show by announcing that she is COVID free (for now) – which is good news, considering she’s been active in the protest scene. I deep dive into my latest “sexual” encounter with a serial giggler (aka nothing happened), and Mal breaks down how Jada Pinkett Smith GOT to have that fire if August Alsina is willing to go this hard over it.

This week, I flew home to surprise my father for Father’s Day and sat down with him and my brother “Farkwad” (aka Mark) to go in depth about our upbringing and what made me me. Over a game of backgammon (that we eventually abandoned), we get deep into family matters that tie into my awakening from a few episodes back, as well as discussing social issues. We also learn a bit more about Farkwad, his aspirations on obtaining his PhD and his battle with ADHD.

With everything going on in the world, Marisa, Joyce and Mal take some time to share their personal efforts surrounding the protests against police brutality. We also have a candid conversation about our thoughts and feelings about the movement, the criminal-based initiatives behind the curfews and the media spin on “looters” and “rioters.”
