billboard

This week, there were multiple major debuts on the chart! Tyler, The Creator and Meek Mill were neck-in-neck (along with Lana del Rey) for the top spot, and it ended up with Lana first, then Tyler‘s Flower Boy at number 2 with 101k, and Meek‘s Wins & Losses at number 3 with 99k.

Billboard Breakdown: First Week Sales For JAY-Z, 21 Savage, Sevyn + Forecasts For French Montana

billboard

As expected, JAY-Z‘s 4:44 debuted at number one the Billboard 200, after it was released on all streaming platforms following its exclusive one week TIDAL release. This now makes him the record holder for solo artist with the most number one albums in the history of Billboard!

Had Hov not dropped, 21 Savage‘s Issa Album would have debuted at number one.  Instead, it comes in at number two with a super solid 77k! Issa hit! Outside of the top 10, Sevyn Streeter‘s new album Girl Disrupted had an extremely dismal debut at number 92. Sheesh.
