My golden year has arrived (27 on the 27th!) and I partied harder this last week and a half than I have for the entire year. I’m happy to announce that my “birthday tour” of sorts has finally come to an end! Woo! There were SO many people involved to help make all of my celebrations so special, so I figured I’d do a little recap and put all my photos, videos and THANK YOU’s in one place!

Part 1: Peterpalooza 3 7/23/14 Best Buy Theater, NYC

The first stop on my “tour” was my fellow Hot 97 family and fellow Leo, Peter Rosenberg’s birthday concert, Peterpalooza 3. The show featured ScHoolboy Q, Action Bronson, Ab-Soul, Vic Mensa, Danny Brown and a ton of other dope artists – many of whom I got the chance to connect with for the first time!. My favorite part was meeting my fellow Jersey girl SZA, and hanging with my baby boo Yaris (who if you’ve followed me for a few years, you know our history goes back to summers at Joe Budden’s in 2011/2012.) Shout to the homie A-Mack too!

Part 2: Under The Influence of Music Tour 7/24/14 Scranton, PA

I was definitely under the influence at Under The Influence. I proceeded to turn up a tad too much apparently…and it resulted in my death for approximately 3 hours. I missed Jeezy and Wiz’s entire sets and that’s all I’m going to say about that. However, thank you to HBK for taking care of the kid. NO thank you to Ty for the drink that led to my death. (It was a fruit smoothie that we put vodka in. It was actually really good and he spent like 20 minutes blending HELLA fruit for it, LOL!) And thanks…partially…to Sage The Gemini for getting me soda and pizza and making me get up and walk around. He’s cool. I guess. Either way, I got to see Ty’s set and Su/Sage’s set so that was most important. Gotta support the home team! Oh and shout to my makeup girl Cathy for the face beat! Yasss!

Part 3: Machine Gun Kelly 7/25/14 Washington, D.C.

Whenever my EST boys are within driving distance, I make it a point to make it to the show. And of COURSE I had to make it when it’s my birthday weekend because NO one turns up like Kels and Slim! Thank you to my boo Ashleigh (who was so missed!) for making sure I was good, and to my college homie Branden for the after-party! The show was AMAZING as always (seriously – if you’ve never seen an MGK show…PLEASE do so. His tour schedule is here. I promise you, even if all you know is “Wild Boy,” you will truly enjoy yourself!) and though I steered clear of ALL alcoholic beverages (I’m telling you, I DIED the night before! LOL!), I had an amazing time with the guys. AND because he’s amazing, Kels performed my favorite song EVER, “Ratchet,” for me as per my request. Lace Up!

Part 4: My Birthday Dinner 7/26/14 Sugar Factory, NYC

First and foremost, a HUGE thank you to Reena Treats for the most amazing cupcakes ever that represented everything I love! Then thank you to my best friend in the entire world, Carolina, and her boyfriend Los for getting me the craziest cake I have ever seen, made by Jenn Cakes and Mel Cakes. Then to all my loves that came out to Sugar Factory to celebrate with me – my cousin Danielle who traveled all the way from base in Germany, Con Dogz, Dan Banan, Victoria, Caasi, Stanuel, Drewski, Carol, Los, Beth, Kiana and Wendy! You guys made for such an amazing time! And thank you to the staff and management at Sugar Factory for being so helpful and so accommodating!

Part 5: My Official Birthday Party hosted by IAMSU! 7/30/14 Empire Hotel ‘Level R’ Rooftop, NYC

Thank you to David Ali for connecting the dots to make this happen, Jessica Rosenblum for throwing me the party and booking Su to host and Natalie Skyy for my makeup! What a night! You know it’s 3’s up when it’s reppin’ time! YEE! Shout to Adrian Marcel for sliding through too. The Bay was so heavy in NYC! Oh – and Austin Millz…can you DJ every party I ever go to from now on?!!?

Then of course, my birthday gift to myself was launching this site, which was the best part of everything! I’m excited to share my thoughts and happenings with the LIT readers! Oh, and HI MOM! LOVE YOU AND THANKS FOR THE CAKE!
