Last week, French Montana announced that the release date of his sophomore album MC4 had to be pushed back. Taking to Twitter, the rapper explained that the delay was due to “some sample clearances that are still being worked out.” However, it looks like a few retail stores didn’t get the memo.
Just days after the announcement, reports of Target (among other retail outlets), carrying the album began to surface. The new release date of MC4 has been set for October 14, but fans have already taken to Twitter with the CD in their hands.
“I went to Target today & they are selling @FrencHMonTanA‘s #MC4 despite pushback,” said Twitter user @malbin34. Sure enough there was a photo of the album, clear as day, on the shelf.
Since then, multiple file sharing sites have leaked the album in it’s entirety, which is truly unfortunate for French. He has yet to comment on the incident.
